using excel for the first time,want to know the basic about excel from the
start,if a document is provided that would be more usefull

thats an awfully broad question....Excel can be used in many many many many
ways..........give us an idea of what you want to do.....there are many
templates available too

Just do a search for Excel tutorial. Pick one.
Here's one example. It starts with the absolute
