I'm sure this is a simple fix but I've spent
way to long trying to figure out how to stop
the stupid task pane from opening every time
I open Excel 2003. I've tried going to view
and unchecking it and it comes back the next
time I open Excel. I checked the KB and it
said to delete a the key
DoNotDismissFilesNewTaskPane. I don't have that
key. Any help would be greatly appreciated the
task pane is a real pain.

Thanks Niek I knew it was something simple.
I even checked this and looked right past
the setting.
