Hi everybody, I hope someone can help me.
I have a spreadsheet with 100+ rows of this type of
information. I want to be able to sort by any of the
column types, but the rows need to keep their integrity.
1. UniqueID_A Name 9-Mar-04 7763
2. Unique ID_B Name 9-Mar-04 5496
3. UniqueID_A Name 16-Mar-04 4687
4. UniqueID_C Name 15-Mar-04 4621
5. InuqueID_F Name 12-May-04 642
Is it possible to lock just the rows, but to still be able
to sort the workseet by uniqueID, date or count?
Thanks,
Susan

Hi Susan
prior to sorting select your entire data range and goto 'Data - sort'
and choose your sorting column

Thanks for your reply, Frank.
So.... does excel ALWAYS sort the entire row as a whole,
according to whatever sort you choose? And not just by the
cells in the column of the sort type?
