How do I get Plus and Minus signs in my additions and subtraction

How do I get Plus and Minus signs in my additions and subtraction formats? I
have a report that I exported into Excel and it is missing the "-" and "+"
from the grid. How do I get them back?

Have you tried to format the cells as TEXT?
Format > cells> Number(tab)>text (list)
