calculate difference means when groups have different (n)

I need to run a test for a diference between means when the groups have
different numbers (n).  Please post to newsgroups or remove the pound sign
in return address.

Enable the Analysis Toolpak and Analysis Toolpak -VBA in Tools | Add-
ins. (If they're not listed there, you'll run the Office installer to
make them available.)

Then click Tools | Data Analysis and select one of the two-sample t
tests.

See Help for the TTEST worksheet function.  Only Type=1 requires both groups
to be the same size.
