hello again,

i have a question on finding a formula for 2 items.
i have an amount column and a totals column. if i insert both information
what formula would be appropriate to find the percent of those two numbers.

ex:   amount- $1,000
      total-  $20,000
what is the percentage of this job being completed?

Thanks,
Nilufer

Hi

If 20000 is in A1 and 1000 in B1, then
=B1/A1
and format the cell as Percent (%) by clicking the % icon on the
toolbar.
