Hi,

In a excel sheet i've gote a bar wich i want colored light (?) red, within
it darker red characters.
(It's about a bil with the enterprise name in the bar)
The "paintbox" didn't contain a red color, so i changed it myself
(extra=>option=>color)

On screen the bil looks perfect, the right colors (the same as the notepaper
in Word97)
The problem is, when printing red changes to brown.
I've also copyd the notepaper heathers, same problem, look prefect on
screen, prints brown.

I'm using Excel97 / Windows98 / HP Deskjet 820Cxi

Until now i've never had any problems with color-printing.

Is there anyone who can help ??

Please in "simple" english, as you might have noticed, it ain't my native
language (dutch is ;)  )

It probably isn't Excel making the colours print wrongly, but the printer.
You need to look at the printer driver settings to see if there are any
options for colour matching or something like this.
Try looking in Start-->Control Panel-->Printers and selecting Properties for
the printer you are using. It might take some practice to find the best
colour profile.

Tx, Paul, for your help. The problem has been disolved with this answer in a
difrent newsgroup :
It still sounds like the "red" you have manually set is not
the same "red" that the printer software is seeing.  Have
you tried setting it to default red (255,0,0)?
