To print row numbers only you will have to insert a column with the numbers. You can print column letters and row numbers: File > Page Setup > Sheet > Rows and Columns Mike To add to mike's you can use =ROW() in that column and the numbers will change if you delete or add a row  SignaturePaul B Always backup your data before trying something new Please post any response to the newsgroups so others can benefit from it Feedback on answers is always appreciated!
