Why would Excel 97 SR-1 show additional pages beyond the defined "Set Print
Area"?

PageBreak View shows 8 Pages.  However there is double the page count IE 16
of 8.

The confusing part is when I check the margins, or set the scale percentage
smaller, everything fits without wrapping and I end up with blanks = to
double the actual pages that show in PageBreak View.

What am I missing?

Thanks a Million!

What is the start number at Page>"First Page Number"?

Auto or 8?

Thanks Gord for the Reply.

My first page Number on the Print Preview is "1 of 8" at the bottom of the
page.
My footer is:   Page &[Page] of 8

If I look at the setup for First page Number it was set to Auto,  I tried
putting a 1 in there also and I still had all the 8 extra pages.

The sequence goes as follows.
1 of 8
2 of 8
3 of 8
4 of 8
5 of 8
6 of 8
7 of 8
8 of 8   <--- Last Page of Data
9 of 8   <--- First Blank Page
10 of 8
11 of 8
12 of 8
13 of 8
14 of 8
15 of 8
16 of 8

Bizarre, I cant get rid of the 8 blank pages.

I would change the footer to read "Page &[Page] of[Pages]"(no quotes)

I think the manually entered "8" might be the problem.

If you select "Page 1 of?" from the Footer drop-down you will erase the footer
you have now.

Does that make a difference?

Gord,

Thank fix the sequencing problem!  The count is now correct 1 of 16 through
16 or 16.

I need to get rid of 9 of 16 through 16 of 16 blank pages.

I find that if I past the content into a new workbook I can make a few edits
and it fixes the problem.

I hate not knowing how to fix the blank pages problem, however the
"Workaround" works.

Thanks a bunch Gord!
