I have a workbook which contains 15 worksheets of around 1-3 pages on avaerage.  the entire workbook is 40 pages.

when i try to print the entire workbook I want to see the page numbers sequencially ie page 1 of 4, 2 of 40, 3 of 40, 4 of 40, 5 of 40 etc, however what I am getting is the page numbering startng again for each sheet. ie  page 1 of 40, page 2 of 40, page 1 of 40, page 2 of 40 page 3 of 40, page 1 of 40 page 2 of 40 page 3 of 40.  where the first three sheets are two pages, three page and three pages.

How do I get it so the entire workbook prints sequencially ??

thanks

I've never noticed this before, but it appears to be a bit quirky. (Excel
being quirky? Surely not!)

If you go to the Print dialog and choose the option to print the whole
workbook, numbering is done as you describe. On the other hand, if you
select all of the worksheets together (select the first, hold down shift,
then select the last) and leave the "Print what" option set to "Selected
sheet(s)", then numbering should appear as you want it.

That's what happens here, anyway.
