OUR OFFICE HAS UPDATED TO XP AND INTEGRATED ALL THE
PRINTERS ON THE SERVER WITH SPECIFIC SETUPS, BUT WITHIN
OFFICE APLICATION PRINT PREVIEW NOW APPEARS IN BLACK AND
WHITE ACCORDING TO THE DEFAULT PRINTER. BUT OUR I.T. DONT
KNOW WHAT SETTING THEYVE CHANGED TO MAKE IT DO IT AS
DEFAULT
AS I USE RPINT PREVIEW FOR CHARTS AND GRAPHS VIEWING
WITHIN MY MACROS IT IS A WASTE OF TIME. AS EVERYTHING IS
GREY.
DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A BACKGROUND PRINTER/OFFICE SETTING
THAT WILL STOP IT DEFAULTING TO THE PRINTER SETUP. I HAVE
HAD A LOOK AT THE TABS ON THE PRINTER PROPERTIES BUT
CANNOT FIND ANYTHING SPECIFIC TO SHOW AS PER SHEET NOT
PRINTER.

Please turn off the Caps Lock.
File>Page Setup>Sheet. Checkmark in "Black and White" and/or "Draft Quality"
could cause this.
Uncheck if appropriate.

thanks but its somthing more involved than a checkmark in
page setup options.
im writing vba programs so use print preview to show
results in colour for graphs and the like.
the black and white thing has only occurred since our
office updated to xp. but none of our so called I.T.
experts know what theyve done to make it change.
ive looked in the printer options and tabs but there is
nothing to set it to "preview as printer output". The
routines were working fine a few months ago on the same
printer.
regards kev.

HI!
I have the same dilemma. Has some one found a solution to this freaky
dilemma? I know that this same has occurred to my friend once, but he does
not remember where it was fixed. And no this does not seem to be up to
printer settings.
Help Appreciated.

Kahva,
Check Page Setup, then under the Sheet tab to see whether the Black and
White box is unchecked.

Hi, i had the same problem...
It is definitely the printer driver you are using that is the problem
go to
start, run, printers and faxes and choose the printer.
Click on printer in top left and click on properties.
Click on advanced and u c the option for driver. Choose the driver tha
is the same as your colleagues pc, or just keep trying different one
and try your preview again.
thank me later..

After weeks of looking for a solution to this problem, this simple fix was
almost a dissapointment.
THANKS!
