All my exisiting files are saved in Excel XP version, recently I have
upgraded to Excel 2003 version.  But, unforturely, all printing margin is out
of order as saved before.

Anyone can help!!

Jacky

All print settings are the function of the print driver, not Excel.  I
suspect either you have also updated the operating system/printer and
therefore the print drivers or Excel 2003 interacts slightly differently
with them than did Excel 2002.

Unfortunately you will probably need to reset them all although you could
first try re-installing the print drivers as upgrading sometimes scrubs them
a little

Hi Nick

Thanks for reply.

FYI, all the files are printed on the same printer.  Is there any other
suggestion or solution?

Jacky

Hi Jacky,
Did you also upgrade your operating system, because that would
likely give you different print drivers for a printer.

Possibly your default paper size has changed from A2 to  8 1/2 x 11
or vice versa.

If that still does not lead to an answer, it might help if you indicated what
language version of Excel 2003 you have, operating system, printer, fontsize,
and what you had before.   Exactly how the margins did change.

Hi David,

We have the same problem. We are using windows XP and office 97/2000. We
upgraded some computers to office 2003 with no changes in the operating
system and printers. Later all the old excel files present the margins as 2
or 2,5 cm and we have to change manually or it could be print different as
our preferences.

Regards,

Check  to see if your  papersize    switched better  8 1/2 x 11 inches   and   A2  paper.

We use alwais A4 (we work in Spain) paper.

I checked today in other computer with excel 2000 and view the exact
problem: if the excel file had a margin in the 2000 version, for example left
margin, the 2003 version maintain the same margin, but in the others sides
change it to his default (top and down 2,5 cm. and left or right to 2 cm).
All the margins that in excel 2000 was cero, in the 2003 versions are set to
the new default.

Hi Jose,
Try going to   Control Panel settings, for your printer,  make sure it says A4.

Just occurred to perhaps you have settings in Internet Explorer
Such settings certainly affect use of Outlook Express which is part of IE,
but it is possible that it might be responsible if there is such a thing as
not settings that you indicated.

You might also change the paper settings to a different setting and change
them back after testing to A4 and test again.

Whether that turns out to be the problem or not please report back the result.
