Custom page sizes in Excel

Back in the old days of  Lotus 123 for Windows, I could set a custom page
size - basically, any size page I wanted - and print that size (such as 4" x
5") - can't see ANY way to do that in Excel - this is a major shortcoming.
Anyway to do this??

Hi Mike,
Don't know what you did with Lotus 1-2-3,  but Excel is the same as in
many other applications programs, across Office and elsewhere they
feed on one another and have pretty much the same options:
File,  Page Setup           then specifically for Excel  the page tab, and
within that the paper  size.  This applies to the worksheet you are in.

Take that back a bit -- but this is also common elsewhere,  the paper
size does not offer a custom size of your own,  you will find that on
the Options button  on  File, Page Setup,  Page tab    but this is into
and up to your print driver from the printer manufacturer.

If you want something for future usage you could use a template, but I
don't think you want that odd size as a default anyway.

Word has the ability to specify a custom page size - so, if as you state
that the programs are interoperable, I would think that this would be an
'interoperable' kind of option.

Hi Mike,
And you could not set a custom page size starting from the
File, Page Setup,  Page tab,  Options button
interesting.   I guess there are big differences in printer drivers.

I didn't use the word "interoperable"   you had me wondering if I'd lost a
lot of brain cells between then and now, or between one ear and the other.

Nope - HP8150, only get pre-set page sizes! What printer are you using that
you can specify a specific page size??

One more thing - this is a printer shared off of a Win2K3 server, if that
makes any difference.

Well, the Custom button is grayed out, and the little Exclamation point says
that feature is not available because I don't have permission to save system
settings on that computer - 'that computer' is a Win2K3 server and the
printer is an HP815 shared off of it, and I am a domain admin and logged
into my computer as such - if I go to the server, I can set the custom page
size - is this a limitation of a shared printer, or is something else
amiss??

Can you set up another printer definition for everyone that goes to the same
printer.    It is possible to print to a printer with or without page separators,
and if it has PostScript a choice of PostScript or other -- so I think there are
certainly ways around that.   I never had anything to do with servers.
