Using Excel 2003.  Is it possible to set the Print Gridlines option in Page
Setup on by default?  It is currently off, and needs to be set on for each
sheet.

Thanks,
Betty

Hi "betty_boop",
To set on by default for new sheets you would would need to setup your
   book.xlt  and sheet.xlt    templates
  http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/template.htm

For existing sheets:
Select all sheets by   rightclick on sheet tab, Select all sheets
   Tools, options, view, gridlines
click on sheet tab,  Ungroup sheets
WARNING: (severe tire damage)  you Must ungroup sheets when finished
failure to do so means that any change you make such as to cell content will
be done for all grouped sheets and will destroy preexisting data.   Any change
made to one cell will be done to all sheets in the goruping.

Keep in mind that gridlines are not the same as borders.
Gridlines are set on or off in  tools, options, view
Gridline printing for a sheet is controlled in   file, page setup, sheets
Borders will show same  on display and in print,    format, cells, borders
