Assuming that   File, Print is going where you want it,
try deleting the   Print Icon from your toolbar,  then
reinstalling it -- both from   Tools, customize.

To delete:   tools, customize, drag  icon off of toolbar
To add:    tools, customize,  command (tab),  file (on left),
    choose printer (on right) and drag to toolbar.

I do keep a Print Preview icon on my toolbar, but for printing
I always use file, print (could use Ctrl+P) -- better control,  and
the toolbar real estate is too scarce to waste on a print button.
And I see that I would have a choice of two print buttons  one
for  Print... and one to a specific printer.
