printing landscape Excel documents using vista OS

I can't seem to figure it out ... If anybody knows, I'd really appreciate an
answer on this.

We have Excel documents that were created using an older Microsoft OS (I
forget, maybe it was 2000 Windows). I open up these documents and they look
fine. The landscape is selected, the page breaks are okay, the printer works
fine for everything else -- but then I go to print my landscape documents,
and they come out portrait!

Very frustrating. I even tried creating a new document in landscape using
the vista - thinking it had to do with which OS the doc was created under,
and this didn't work either.

Any ideas???? Please please, I'd really appreciate an answer. So many
documents I use regularly are needed as landscape excel.

Much thanks!

Vista OS is just that...........an operating system.

You did not create Excel workbooks(documents) using any Windows OS

You must have had a version of Office or Excel on the earlier OS

What version of Excel/Office are you running now is the key point.

Does your default printer handle landscape printing is another question?

Sorry yes, I meant that it was created with a computer that had an earlier OS
(windows 2000), and earlier version of Excel (Excel 2002). We are still using
the Excel 2002, but now on the Vista OS.

Normally the landscape printing is just fine. Seems to work for everything
else (ie. word, printing from website) just fine. Excel is the problem I've
specifically encountered. And it prints  Excel portrait just fine too.

Thanks again!

I can't help much more than this.

Are you sure the printer you choose in Excel under Print>Printer Name is the
default printer that works with landscape in other applications?

Yeah ... that was the first thing I checked. Well, thanks for responding
anyways. I did find a post elsewhere online (can't remember now) where
somebody was having the exact same problem. But nothing was figured out for
that person either. I think it's a glitch with the vista OS.

Do you think they'll issue a fix for this? Is this kind of problem something
they would bother fixing? Does anyone have any idea whom I can talk to about
requesting a fix???

Have you stopped in over at one of the Vista News Groups?

Scroll through here to find a Vista group of your choice.
