Would like to see a distance number cell formatting category. One that
allows any numerical to be expressed in terms of feet and inches -- or other
units of measurement. It should also should allow for metric to English
conversions, or vis-versa. An anlagous set of formats for weights and
measures would also be great.

It's not for Excel, but it is a great unit conversion program called
Versaverter. Get it free here

I tihnk that giving us some way to write our own njumber formats using
formulas that apply to that particular call would be really handy. Then we
would write out own cell formats for our preferences. As it is, we couldn't
even create a date system that applies to the current cell, we have to use
the one built into excel.
