Fork Truck database

Hi,

I have a fleet of fork trucks where I work and I am trying to design a
spredsheet/database so that I have the complete list of trucks and each
one has a service interval. These vary from truck to truck ie: 6 months,
12 months etc.

I need the program to tell me when each truck is due to be serviced. I
would like to be able to put a request in the system for the next 2, 3,
4  months and have each truck that requires servicing to be flagged up.
Once the truck has been serviced I obviously need the cycle to reset to
the next service interval.

I also need to be able to edit the database to either remove or add new
vehicles when required and to have the trucks history and work carried
out on each service.

How would I best go about creating this?

Regards...Gracust

Excel is probably not the best solution.  There are a number of
maintenance programs available that do exactly what you are looking
for.
Do a goole on "Auto maintenance software" and within results
"Shareware"

You should find something that is free or very low cost.
