How are you trying to start Excel?  Shortcut?  Double-click on an *.xls file?

What does it do instead of opening?

Any message?  Nothing at all?

Try Start>Run "excel.exe"(no quotes)>OK

More detail please to assist you.

Anyway I try to open it doesnt work. Whether a shortcut or
by trying to open a xls file or even through run. After
clicking on the icon I get the hourglass as if it is
opening it for about one second and then nothing. I HAd a
previous problem of opening both excel and word as I was
getting a error message of "Not enough memory" This I
fixed by repairing a corrupted file "Mso9intl.dll" Since
then the word has been OK but I have had problems with the
excel. I am using office 2000 and windows 98.
Thanks a lot for yor help
