We had upgraded MS Office 4.0 with Office XP. Was working
fine for three years when hard drive failed.

We replaced the drive, booted it with MS ME operating
system, and can not install the Office 4.0.

Now it says that it can not find "share.exe".  I found it
in an old Office 3.5 floppy.  How does one add "share.exe"
file to the autoexec.bat?

Thanks
Jag

Share.exe actually now does nothing so you can fool excel into thinking it's
there.  Open Notepad and save an empty file as share.exe to c:\windows
(Unless you have a different windows folder).  Reboot machine and excel
should start fine
