Faehnfare, here is one way
In A1 put =ROW()*COLUMN(), drag to the right, to column L for 12 and down to
row 12 or for how many rows you want

And if you change the formula style to R1C1 (Tools>Options>General tick the
R1C1 Reference Style box), the row and column headings will work for you.
