Hi,

We use Excel 2002 SP2/SP3 on XP SP1 PCs. Our server platform is Windows 2003.

It takes up to one minute to save an excel workbook in the same directory.
The problem gets worse with workbooks with many sheets. When I try to save
the same workbook into an other network share on the same server, the problem
disappears.

Any ideas ?

Hi all,

We managed to solve our problem. We are in a migration phase and there was a
mismatch between values regarding SMB-signing. See KB 321169 for the
solution.  We updated group policy according to the article and the problem
disappeared.
