I have a spreadsheet with a column that has been formatted as text.
The column contains all numbers. I wish to copy this column into
another sheet that has the column formatted as numbers. When I do so,
it does not treat the entries as numbers, even when I paste only the
values. Any thoughts?
After you paste those "text numbers", you can convert them.
Copy an empty cell
select your range of offending numbers/text
edit|paste special|check Add

I'm still confused. Could you explain it another way? Where do I find
"text edit"? Thanks.

"Select the range that consists of the numbers that are text"
may have been a better way of wording that second line.
Edit is on the worksheet menubar.
