thanks for the reply, its kind of daunting in the
Documents and> Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Temp
area with so much in there, with other apps open, i'm afraid of botching up
some other open app
will shut down all apps before next reboot, then delete everything there and
then after reboot and open excel
and see what shows up

Unless you are in the habit of installing programs to run from TEMP, you will be
fine deleting it all. You can always move it to the recycle bin for a couple of
days if you want before totally deleting
