I can't clear the read-only note automatically appearing on my excel files.
It just started 2 days ago. Please help.

I had that happen today and I don't know if you are connected to a network
but I couldn't even open the file with the read only as it said it was locked
for editing by someone else and I am the only one who has access to it.  What
I did was simply reboot my computer.  The read only went away.
