In an MS Excel spreadsheet how does one get a cell to automatically increase
a numeric data when dragged to the right.
For instance if you enter Mon in cell a1 then drag that cell 4 cells to the
right it will display Mon,Tue,Wed,Thurs,Fri.
How can you get the same effect using numbers?

Hold down your Ctrl key while you're dragging to increment
by 1.

Excel needs some help to help you.

If you put 1 in the first cell and 2 in the second and then select both and
drag, you'll get the series you want.

But I like to just put the 1 in the cell and rightclick on the autofill button
and drag it.  When I let go of that rightclick, excel will ask me how I want
that range filled in.  (I can choose "fill series".)
