how can i configure the page orientation to default to a
landscape mode instead of a portrait mode each time i
start up excel?
i need to create a new excel file frequently from another
application and print it in a landcape orientation.
however each time excel keeps on defaulting to a portrait
mode.
i am unable to configure the printer to a landscape mode
as i share the printer with other apps.

i would appreciate if anyone could point out a simple
solution to me.

many thanks and best regards.

You can save any settings, by setting up an empty, single-sheeted workbook
just how you want it and save it, as an XL template called book.xlt, to your
xlStart folder.  This starts with XL and retains any settings contained in
it.

(For info, you can do the same for sheets added to workbooks, by saving a
file called sheet.xlt)
