how do i add cells within a cell

I need to add cells within a cell and still keep the format the same

You cannot add cells within a cell.

Do you mean add the contents of cells into one cell?

=A1 & B1 & C1  will combine the contents of A1:A1 into D1

The original formatting will not be retained and D1 content will be text.
