Hi,

  How do I remove the ' ^ etc. from showing in Excel 2007?  It tends to
make the online search useless because it affixes those symbols (symbols for
bold, center, etc.)

  Here's a sample screenshot ->

  In the screenshot, there is '    If I remove it, the text/cell formatting
is deleted as well.  If I say, bold it again or otherwise, it will come back.
I tried turning off everything in Excel 2007 settings, but for some reason
it still stays, so I'm really at a lost as to what setup it really is or
where can I find that setup.

  Thank you very much!!

I don't have 2007 but in earlier versions those were left, center and
right-aligned marks caused by having Transition Navigation Keys enabled in
Tools>Options>Transition.

Maybe 2007 still retains this Lotus feature?
