I get error message 1311 Source file not found.  Verify that the file exists
and you can access it.  I get this message everytime I try to open excel in
my email.  I have basice edition 2003, and all applications open correctly,
but not as attachment.  Please Help

When you try to open excel in your email, it will saved it as a tempory file
in a temp directory.

Did you try other type of attachement like Word Doc? if this is the problem,
it should be related to Email MIME setting.

Is it possible the problem for the file name? with non-english character?

If you double click an Excel in explorer, that mean the mechanism of file
extention related to appliction is working fine.

hope this can help

WHen i click on the attachment it says windows preparing for install,
gathering required info, and gives me the message.  Same as I just open Exel
form star menu

Hi

it seems your excel is not setup/installed properly.

I suggest you to reinstall it.

Try re-registering Excel.

Close Excel first and On the Windows Taskbar

1) Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.
2) Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.
See the space between exe and /regserver

You might have to designate a full path to excel.exe.
In that case Start>Run "C:\yourpath\excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.
