I downloaded this comm add-in and would like to remove it.  When I attempt to
do so, I receive an error that it cannot be removed.  Anyone have a
suggestion?  Thanks.

Hi Bill

Alt T O, to bring up the Excel Options, or click round Office
button>Excel Options.
Addins>bottom of page drop down>select COM Add-ins>GO>Uncheck Get
Started (or choose to Remove)>OK

Roger,

That's when I get the message that it cannot remove it.  Mesasage: "The
connected state of Office Add-ins registerer in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be
changed"

DOes that mean that I need to disconnect from the Internet to remove it?
Thanks.

Hi Bill

I don't know why that didn't work for you, it worked find for me.
If you are comfortable with editing the Registry, close Excel then you
could use
Start>Run>Regedit
HKEY_Current_User>Software> Microsoft>Office 12.0>Excel>Options
Look through the keys set as OPEN, OPEN1 etc.
One of them will have the value set to open that COM add-in.
Right click on the appropriate key and click DELETE.
Close Regedit.

When you next open Excel, that tab should have disappeared..
