I'm running Windows 2000 Profesional platform and on it Office 2000.

Recently I changed 19" LCD Flat monitor and installed the driver for it.
Unfortunately the Excel program was running during driver installation.
After that date the shortcut for my Excel files that I normaly click to work
on the file is not opening. Error message indicates that the path is broken.
I recreated the shortcut  and still it doesn't open the file. However, If I
open the Execl program and file open, then I can work on it.

Please help to work the files by using shortcut.

Thanks

Joe

Sometimes one of these works when you're having trouble with double clicking on
the file in windows explorer:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

--- or ---

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.

Maybe one of these will work for you.
