On one machine I'm using, hitting the [RETURN] or [ENTER]
keys whilst editing a cell does NOT convert the cell below
into the active cell. Normally in Excel, this is the case
is it not?

How can I change this?

Thanks.

Hi

Most mysteries like this are solved in the Tools > Options menu, containing
a strange mixture of settings for the active file and Excel herself. This
one is in the Edit pane there: "Move selection after Enter".

And while there, have a look at all the other settings and options. It's
useful to know what and where they are.
