Does Excel 2000 have a fast save setting somewhere? Cannot
locate it. Also, if an excel sheet crashes/hangs, would
there be a temp file located somewhere or is there a
setting that would allow a temp file to be created every
so often?

Thanks for the help!!!

There is not a fast save option.  If Excel creates a temp file it usually
does so as the result of a failed save.  This would be a file with a random
name, usually in the folder that is set as the users default folder under
tools>options>general.

There is an autosave add-in for Excel 2000, (XP and 2003 have a greatly
improved, built-in feature).  I have never succeeded in implementing the
add-in
