MS Office Forum / Excel / New Users / June 2007From Access to Excel template
I use an Access dtabase with a reporting feature. I can export to Excell from Access. I have created the template that I wish to use, but when I try to export to excell I do not see the xlt. only the xls. Do I also need to create a function in the Access database to download what information I want into the template?  SignatureThank you, Shelldrs That's how Excel Templates operate. When you click on open for the Template, you get a new workbook based on that Template. The Template itself does not open. This is feature that preserves the integrity of the original Template.
