I want to add the "+" symbol to text but when I type it and enter, I
lose the "+" symbol.

Example: +12 becomes just 12,  I want to show the "+" symbol, any
ideas?

Actually, Excel will convert the string to a number, so it can be
used in calculations.

You can do it by:

1. formatting your cell to TEXT before making cell entries

OR

2. preceding your entry with an apostrophe. i.e., '+12
