I am looking to import data from another spreadsheet to a master
spreadsheet. The common thread between the two is a serial number. I
want to match the serial numbers and the associated data from the newer
spreadsheet to the master spreadsheet's list of serial numbers. The
larger sheet contains roughly 900 serial wheras the smaller only has
information for 170 of those. I want to import and then somehow mach
the colums based on that serial number. Is there a way to do that?

Use one these methods (tagging or highlighting) and use the serial as
criteria
