Hi!

I work with multiple monitors and enjoy the feature of being able to
have a copy of Word on each screen to easily analyze & compare two
different documents.  However, it seems that this feature is
unavailable in Excel.  Does anyone know how to do this in Excel
please?

Thanks!

goto tools>General Tab>> check ignore other applications

Now you can open another stance of XL ( dbl click open excel and donot
open thru Files...)

it worked for me in bloomberg

This worked for opening new windows for Excel, but then the documents are not
opening up within those windows.  It's opening a blank gray Excel window, not
even a blank new document is open in it, but neither is the document that has
been double clicked on either.  If that option is unchecked, documents are
able to be double clicked on to open, but it's opening in the same window.
Is there a way to get it to allow both?  I need to be able to open Excel
files by double clicking on them, but I also need them to open in separate
windows too.
Thanks,
Jammer

Stretch the Excel application window across two monitors and then
place each document in its own part of the window.
