Just change the name to
http://www.excelforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4872 and you can
download it.

I have reported this problem to excelforum a few times but I have never had
a reply.

You aren't doing anything wrong. The conditional formatting is workin
fine.

Note that some of the Kevin entries have a trailing space and "Kevin
is not equal to "Kevin".

Try changing the conditional format to

Formula Is: =TRIM(B4)=$A$
