I'm not sure this is possible, but can I have a comma appear when I'm
typing data into a cell? I have the cell formatted the way I want after
I press enter, but I'd like the formatting (commas most importantly) to
show when I'm entering the data.

Thank you in advance.

Do you mean to show commas to separate a number into thousands etc.? If
so, then I don't think this is possible - as you type in the numbers to
make 1000000, for example, Excel will not know in advance how many
keystrokes you are going to make, so you can't expect it to put a comma
after the "1" and after the "1,000" for you.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that's exactly right Pete. I didn't think it was possible, but if
anyone has any ideas on how to do this - please pass them along. Thank
you again!
