Can anyone recommend a good, hopefully inexpensive, program to convert a PDF
file to an Excel spreadsheet?

I only need to do this once, and the source file is about 15 pages.

TIA,
Bob

Try OmniPage Pro. I've not used it specifically for spreadsheets, but I've
use it for other PDF files with no great problems.

ScanSoft's PDF Converter 3 Professional (retail: $100) actually allows you
access into the PDF File and is generally cheaper than OmniPage Pro, but be
sure you get the Professional version of PDF Converter 3.

However, before you buy any new software, you might just try highlighting
the text in the PDF file so you can copy and paste it into Excel. A lot of
people don't realize you can do this (you might need to download -- for free
-- the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader).
