If i use one filter on my spreadsheet and then use the data - filter - show
all feature it works ok but when i have used more than 1 filter and try to
show all after finishing using the filters Excel freezes on me - i am using
Excel 2000.

Thanks

Do you have lots of formulas in the spreadsheet?

If there are more than 50 in your spreadsheet, Excel recalculates every one
of them after removing a filter and can cause a lockup.

Try setting the auto calculation in Tools, Options, Calculation Tab to
manual.

You will have to press F9 to re-calculate the formulas when you need them to
function correctly or re-enable the auto calculation.
