Is there is no way around the max for footer is there? Can you not have more
than one column for a footer?
I have Excel 2003 and I was wanting to place a legend for codes as footer at
bottom of page but unfortunately I exceeded 255 characters.  Guess Word does
have advantages over Excel.

MSWord is a much better word processor than excel.

Maybe you can print the footer using MSWord and then send the pages through the
printer getting the data from Excel???

Or maybe you could create a picture of the text you want in your footer.
xl2002+ allows you to add a picture to the header/footer.

I may try the picture next time.  I just added rows to the last page and
placed in the legend codes.  I only have two pages so that will work.
Originally I had this in MS Word but like the formulas better in Excel.
Thanks for your response.
