Hello,

What I am trying to do is the following:
I have put security by the standaard of excel on several selections with a
pass and selected users of the AD.

In Excel 2003 it works fine the security on selections and on the page.
But I have several Office 2000 users who also needs to work in that same
excel sheet. There it just simply says it is locked/secured and you need to
fill in the password for the whole sheet.

In 2003 you give the password of the selection and you can only edit that
selection.
In 2000 if you give the same password for the selection it says it doesn't
recognize the password.

Saving it to 97-2003,5.0 or 95.xls file doesn't work, I can't choose only
97/2000.
I need this to work can someone help me?

xl2k doesn't support that range by range protection scheme.  You unprotect the
whole sheet.

(So I'm not sure what you mean by giving xl2k the same password for the
selection.)
