You need an IF statement in D8 to check if the cell in D7 contains a
numeric value. Replace "Is a Number" with the formula you want there
(no = sign), and replace "Not a number" with what you want to happen if
not a number in D7. (Could be "" for blank, or 0, etc...)
=IF(ISNUMBER(D7),"Is a number","Not a number")
