I am running MS Excel XP (2002) with all the latest updates.

When I open any speadsheet and either save or print preview, the CPU
spikes to 100% and it takes at least 1 minute for the operation to
complete.

What could be causing this?

Perhaps a macro causing it to save itself, or possibly tring to retrieve
other external data..........
