I have a spreadsheet that has several columns in that i need others to see
BUT not change. They only need to change column d,e,and f.

Is thier any way to protect a,b,c,g,and h so no one can change the data in
these but can still see,or even sort by them. The only data chnages need to
be in D,E and F.

Hi Mag

What version of excel are you using? You can protect the range you
don't want editing by selecting the range and then Format --> Cells -->
Protection (tab) --> Locked (uncheck)
--like wise the other range should be set to unlocked.

Then Tools --> Protection --> Worksheet Protection, if you are using
2003 versions and later then one of the protection options is to till
allow users to sort and / or format columns...  But won't be able to
edit data.
