Hello Experts,

I'm trying to copy/paste data between two excel docs.  I need to use
the paste special option; however, every time I try to use paste
special, I get the other paste special option (as if the data is coming
from Word or notepad).

Even when I create two completely new Excel docs, then try to paste
special something generic between them, I get/encounter the same
problem.  Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

You have two instances of excel open.  Close one instance and in the remaining,
do a file|Open to open that other workbook.

Then do the copy|paste special
