Hi,

I'm using Excel 2007, and the "Excel Services" button does not appear, as it
is supposed to do, in the "Publish" menu of the Office button. And when I
try to add it to the Quick launch toolbar, it does not appear neither.

Does someone has an idea ?

Fabien,

Do you have one of the correct SKUs for this functionality?  This feature is
only availalble with Office Professional Plus 2007 and Office Enterprise
2007.

Sean,

Thanks, you were right : I was using the Professional SKU. As the Enterprise
Edition has been made available on the MSDN, I will try with it.

Thanks,

Fabien

Sean,

This is very important information to know about Excel 2007, I have
looked all over the Microsoft Office Online site and the Excel 2007
blog and haven't seen this mentioned.  Do you know of any other
differences between the volume-licensed editions of Excel 2007 and the
Professional edition?

Thanks,
Chuck

Replying to myself here, I think I found the information as a white
paper here:

I'll point you to a few resources that I think are useful.

1.  There is a spreasheet at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointserver/HA101978031033.aspx that
has this information as it pertains to SharePoint Portal Server.  There is
an error in it that we are working to get corrected which is that everything
on the "Business Intelligence" sheet should be marked as requiring the
Enterprise CAL / Internet Site.

2.  There is also
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/FX101757151033.aspx, which discusses
differences between the desktop suites.   Publishing spreadsheets to Excel
Services falls under that category.

3.  For a mini-guide on what is possible with Sharepoint and Excel Services
related to BI see
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointserver/HA101747701033.aspx.

4.  There is also the Excel 2007 product guide at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/HA101680001033.aspx.

Hope that helps,

Sean
