Hi,

I have been putting together a financial model that includes drop down boxes
via the Data Validation facility in Excel. The problem I have is that I want
to put the range of data for selection on a separate sheet but seems that it
must be on the same worksheet as the drop down box. Is this right? Or  am I
missing something here.

Just use a named range, eg: MyList
Then enter as the DV's source: =MyList
